Facilities Assistant

WANTED URGENTLY! A Faculties Assistant for a leading membership body (within the Engineering field), based in the heart of London. This is a full-time permanent role paying £21,000-£23,000 per annum plus excellent benefits!

The Facilities Assistant will join a dynamic team of 3!

Core duties of the Facilities Assistant:

- Provide excellent customer service to all visitors, employees and tenants
- Ensure that all meeting rooms are prepared to a high standard
- Provide a first line maintenance service to the building
- Ensure that all defects to equipment, services (including lighting, heating, water supplies, drainage) or buildings are reported and repaired promptly
- Undertake the movement of furniture, deliveries, stores and equipment as required
- Open and close the building when required
- Ensure H&S is observed by all employees, visitors and contractors
- Carry out the weekly fire alarm test and act as a fire warden
- Assist or cover for other members of the Facilities team in the post room, at reception and any other areas as requested by the Facilities Manager

The Facilities Assistant will most likey have:

- Proven facilities experience (Customer facing)
- Health and Safety awareness
- Experience with basic maintenance (carpentry, electrical, plumbing and repairing minor defects)
- Experience working in a room booking and venue hire environment
- Physically fit
- Able to work outside normal working hours and participate in the out of hours on call rota, with occasional weekend work
- Ability to work as part of a team on a shift system + flexible collaborative team worker
- Ability to work unsupervised with initiative
- Willing to work towards a First Aid certificate, training will be provided (desirable)
