Skilled Fabricator

Metalis are working with a well-known construction company looking to recruit a days Regular fabricator to join an established engineering team.

If you have fabrication background working within medium to heavy engineering sectors - such as Structural steel, construction, material handling, mining/quarrying, conveyors, generators, HGV/ Large Plant equipment then please get in touch.

Job Duties:

Performing fabrication tasks to assemble and construct metal components for the construction industry

Using a variety of hand and power tools, grinders and basic fabrication machinery

Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Collaborate with a team of welders, fabricators, and fitters/ engineers to complete projects efficiently

Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Job Requirements:

Proven experience as a Fabricator in the heavy engineering sectors specifically structural steel

Proficient in MIG welding techniques and fabrication processes

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Strong knowledge of welding standards, procedures, and metallurgy

Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality welds

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Adherence to strict health and safety regulations and practices

Salary & Hours:

Salary up to £13.50 -£14:00 p/h

Guaranteed overtime available at an enhanced premium rate: time and half Monday - Saturday

Shift pattern: Flexible shifts as long as 45 hours per week are completed. (For example 7:00-17:00 or 6:00 -18:00)
