Fabric Engineer - Hatfield - Immediate Start - Up to £13 per hour (£26,000 Per Annum) + Overtime
Exciting opportunity to work client direct within an established university. The successful candidate will have proven track record in commercial building maintenance. He or she will be required to work as a static Handyperson/Fabric engineer covering (M&E / Fabric) planned and reactive maintenance in the iconic building located in Hatfield.
You will be working in a state of the art university within a team of other engineers from mechanical, electrical and plumbers. The ideal candidate would come from a commercial background.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of the below duties;
- Fabric Duties
- Plumbing, unblocking toilets, washers, taps
- Carpentry duties
- Painting and decorating
You may be asked to help and get involved with other engineers dealing with the below;
- Lighting - Lamp changes, ballast changes
- Emergency light testing
- Electrical Fault finding
- Small works - new sockets, lights
- Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
- AHUs/FCUs - filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans
- Pumps - PPMs or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
You may also be require to get involved in the plumbing side of things from blocking toilets, unblocking stacks, along with dealing with washer and taps etc.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm (You may be required to complete work out of hours)
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- 17th Edition (Highly Desirable)
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Able to start immediately or at short notice
