We now have an opportunity for an External Technical Support Advisor to provide support to our Rowlands branches across the country supporting company software, hardware, print and network devices.
Within this role, you will be responsible for the installation and configuration of various Windows Operating Systems and Server 2012 R2 across the business. You will create and maintain PowerShell Scripts, WDS images and support a specialist pharmacy EPOS and patient applications.
You will ensure security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops, servers and laptop images and builds as well as configuring server, thin client hardware and print devices. Additionally you will be responsible for logging calls, and troubleshooting faults with various software packages and hardware, diagnosing and resolving technical issues in a timely manner. You will provide assistance and support to colleagues and internal / external customers as well as managing documentation, administration and asset auditing.
We are looking for an IT professional who has worked within a field based or service desk support role supporting server infrastructure and software along with an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
Generally you will have a flexible attitude to working hours and will work Monday to Friday and on occasions you will be required 9.00 am to 12.00 pm on a Saturday Rota. You must be flexible in your approach to working hours as unsociable hours and weekend work will occur due to the business needs.
