External Audit Managers- Scotland - Asset & Wealth Management

A career within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Our clients are often well-known brands and many have broad international reach. We focus on using the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing ensuring you'll focus on the most valuable areas of client service and on enhancing corporate governance and the reliability of our clients' information.
About the role
Asset & Wealth Management is a fast-growing business with a unique audit division offering a broad range of services, tailored to assist Asset management clients grow and overcome the complex challenges they face. Our client base varies - FTSE listed, Private companies, Private Equity and Venture Capitalist backed companies.
You will gain experience across a wide variety of markets and industry sectors including, real estate, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Asset and Wealth management.
As part of the Audit team you will work primarily on audit engagements, however, there are increasing opportunities to get involved with other related activity to provide a greater breadth of experience.

Responsibilities
As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to
    Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and aboveBe involved in the financial management of clientsBe actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clientsContribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumenDevelop strategies to solve complex technical challengesAssist in the management and delivering of large projectsTrain, coach, and supervise staffKeep up to date with local and national business and economic issuesContinue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Essential skillsACA or equivalent Focussed and initiative driven (required to maximise growth potential) Experience of working with clients in either the FS or more specifically Asset or Wealth management industries A passion for delivering an exceptional client service Proven ability in leading audit engagements, including planning, controlling and completing a diverse range of assignments Strong analytical and organisational abilities Experience in supervising and developing staff Proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships Experience of supervising and developing staff through coaching Strong project managementDesirable skillsKnowledge of International Accounting Standards and/or US GAAP would be an advantage Strong team-working skills Desire for continuous improvement Highly developed listening and questioning techniques
