Summary of role

Interaction Recruitment are currently working with the market-leading Global supply chain partner and distributor of communication products, security products, electrical and electronic wire and cable products. Due to their continued growth our client are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and proactive Exports Administrator to join their advancing team on a temporary basis.

The Exports Administrator will be working daily with external and internal partners coordinating all aspects of our export function, including the flow of materials through the warehouse functions. You will be responsible for creating and implementing tools to monitor and improve freight partners overall delivery performance and costs.

Main responsibilities

  • Managing orders from receipt through to conclusion, offering an organised and first class service to our customers.

  • Identify regulatory requirements and implement processes to ensure compliance.

  • Monitor carrier performance and pursue all opportunities to improve.

  • Produce and distribute performance statistics.

  • Provide training and guidance for internal resources.

  • Regular communication with other departments across the business to ensure that all parties are fully informed with order/project progress.

  • Work closely with the Administration Manager to ensure that all KPI’s relating to the Export function are achieved.

Necessary skills, knowledge and experience

  • Good understanding/experience of logistics and warehouse management

  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access

  • Knowledge of Harmonisation System (HS) Codes and Commodity Classification would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of individual countries shipping and documentation requirements

  • Capability to create and implement new procedures

  • Analytical thinker, the ability to look at problems from differing perspectives

  • Organised & punctual

  • A good eye for detail

  • Good communicator, both verbal and written
