Export Operations Clerk
The ideal candidate will be based locally, bring enthusiasm to the role, and have a willingness to learn and grow within the logistics field. This role is perfect for a proactive individual who is a quick learner and ready to be fully trained in all aspects of logistics operations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage export freight operations and Customs clearances.
- Handle sea, air, and road export shipments efficiently.
- Communicate with customers daily, providing exceptional service.
- Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, handling agents, transporters, Customs, and overseas offices.
- Raise files, documents, and invoices accurately and timely.
- Arrange collections and ensure smooth operation of the export process.
- 1-2 years of hands-on operational freight forwarding experience.
- Good working knowledge of logistics, shipping, and transportation.
- Experience with Export Customs entry, preferably with Sequoia.
- Basic IT skills and proficiency in using logistics software.
- Punctuality and a keenness to learn all areas of the operation.
- Demonstrable work efficiency and accuracy.
- Team player with excellent cooperation skills.
- Professional customer service and communication skills, fluent in English with a polite telephone manner.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of basic profit/loss concepts.
