My client is a small independently owned freight forwarders and currently looking for an export documentation clerk to work at their office based near Basildon.
The role will be working on the ocean export desk working in a small team dealing with the export documentation. You will be part of a hard working team focused on providing exceptional customer service.
Purpose of the role:
To cover all Export Documentation as required for the department and will report to the Line Manager within the office.
Duties will include:
- Completing House Bills of Lading
- Issue any corrections to the manifests
- Issuing Invoices
- Liaison with shipping lines
- Chasing shipping instructions
- Liaison with customers for necessary documentation required
- Inputting and updating data into the In-house system
- Sending emails
The role will require someone to have fast and accurate data entry skills and a good telephone manner. You will need to have good attention to detail and be focused on the job in hand.
The hours of work is Monday to Friday 9-5pm
Salary is up to £25k depending on level of experience.
