Export Customer Adviser

The Role
The role is responsible for completing the export process, planning and coordinating the international shipment of goods whilst ensuring compliance with UK and foreign trade laws and regulations concerning export documentation. In so doing, the post holder also oversees the completion of paperwork and monetary transactions associated with international distribution in a timely manner. In line with the company's approach to always go the extra mile, it is expected that the post holder will provide an excellent level of customer service.

Responsibilities
Prepare and issue quotations and relevant technical details within the time frame set via the department KPIs
Preparation of despatch for orders, to plan and coordinate international shipment of goods - including invoicing, packing lists and Export documentation
Negotiate with shippers, agents and vendors to ensure service is maintained whilst costs are kept to a minimum
Provide technical telephone advice and guidance on product and applications
Order Entry into the system to provide the customer with order confirmations in a timely manner
Provide product and order availability, delivery status and pricing advice
Liaise with internal departments to progress orders
Knowledge and awareness of Foreign Culture and religions, particularly Europe, Middle East, Far East and Americas, along with relationship building skills

Experience Required
It is important that applicants demonstrate relevant experience, and have worked within export previously, possessing the following experience:
Knowledge of customs and excise requirements
Knowledge of Incoterms 2010
Good organisational skills
High level of attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer focus

Remuneration
£20,000 - £24,000 per annum
