Are you an experienced Logistics Export Coordinator looking for a new challenge in the Blackburn area?

Reed Business Support are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturer in the Blackburn area who are looking for a talented export logistics coordinator to join their busy Logistics Department.

You will be the first point of contact for existing export accounts in designated areas and coordinate all processes related to customer enquiries, quotations and orders effectively.

Duties include:

-To arrange export/shipping – completion of all export documents in the correct manner.

-Provide administrative support to manufacturing processes. Develop and learn basic quality and best practice manufacturing principles.

-To ensure all export documentation meets export regulations.

-Adhere to all company processes and procedures.

-To communicate internally and externally with commercial/sales to provide excellent logistical support.

-Liaise with export commercial coordinators to coordinate all shipments.

-Use relevant systems including Access and update relevant information held in these systems.

-Arrange details of shipments with forwarders, carriers as necessary for exports.

-To assist the despatch team in all administrative duties relating to shipments.

Experience and skills required:

- Able to use Microsoft Office applications, email and the internet to intermediate level

- Good levels of numeracy and literacy

- Converting measurements metric to imperial

- Excellent telephone manner

- Strong communication skills

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels of an organisation

- Problem solving

- Strong analytical skills

- Previous experience in a sales order processing, export or an administration role

Salary: Circa £21k per annum dependent on experience.

This is a progressive role for the right candidate.

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5.30pm and Friday 9:00am – 2:30pm.
