TITLE: Export Booking Clerk
BUSINESS FUNCTION: Shipping Line Customer Services
HOURS: Core Hours 0900-1730 / shift work / weekends
SALARY: £20,000 to £21,000
Our client based in Romford is seeking an experienced bookings clerk who will be responsible for the co-ordination of FCL shipments from the UK. This is a customer service orientated role so excellent communication skills are paramount.

What you’ll be doing
- Booking export shipments into an in-house global system.
- Chasing UCR’s.
- Hazardous & special cargo applications.
- Providing clients with a first rate customer service including resolving issues and dealing with queries to their satisfaction.
- Communicating with internal department including Equipment Control and Traffic Teams
What we’re looking for
A dedicated, knowledgeable, self-starter who has a passion for shipping and customer service. Candidates would ideally have a knowledge of Port systems, the export process and be able to cope with a role which requires problem solving, thinking outside the box and a calm, professional manner.
What you will receive in return
20 days holiday which increase 0.5 days per year up to 25 days.
