Export Administrator

Location - Rochdale

The position:

The primary purpose of the role is to deliver a customer-focused, quality service to meet customer needs, whilst adhering to local production quality controls to maximise profit, quality of service and contribute to the strategic vision of the branch.

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintenance of quality standards and excellent customer service
  • To efficiently respond to customer and network requests for export operations by providing cost-effective and efficient solutions to ensure adherence to operational and service deadlines
  • Effective management of suppliers to maximise cost
  • Export trailer management - adherence to vehicle departure times, load yield targets, network quality targets

Performance indicators:

  • Achievement of branch, network and quality KPIs
  • Export departures on time and in full
  • Achievement of personal objectives and projects allocated to the role
  • Internal and external survey results

Essential skills:

  • European geographical knowledge
  • Commercial acumen
  • Customer focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience of driver and transport supplier management
  • High degree of integrity and compliance with the ability to work confidentially

Desirable skills:

  • 2 year's experience in European road freight operations
  • Proven track record of customer account management
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering quality performance indicators

Working hours: 45 hour working week, Monday - Friday 1200 - 2200 hrs with 1 hour's break

27 days' holiday per annum, plus Bank Holidays
