Experimental Physicist - Medical Devices - Cambridge
Are you an experienced physicist who enjoys working on technology that aims to save and improve people's lives? We are partnered with an innovative start-up who are looking for physicists to take lead on the development of a new and highly complex medical devices.
This company are developing a potentially disruptive product for their market and they have secured the backing of some major players in the VC market.
Within this role you will have a hands-on approach to all aspects of R&D including design and development, project management, stakeholder management and testing. The company provide you with autonomy and freedom to truly flourish within this role, whilst also making sure you continually develop as a physicist.
You will get the chance to apply your experimental and analytical physics knowledge to solve real-world problems and you will be applying your knowledge to a number of different elements which include mechanics, fluidics and acoustics.
We are looking for people who enjoy solving complex technology problems and working on products that aim to save and prolong people's lives.
To be considered for this exciting role you will need to have a degree in physics or a relatable discipline from a leading university whilst having commercial R&D experience within the sector. The right candidate will also be a self-starter while any additional project management experience would be advantageous.
In terms of level of experience, the company are open on this, considering people from only a few years' commercial experience through to veterans in the market who wish to remain very much hands on. Commercial use of either COMSOL or ANSYS would be highly advantageous.
