Experienced Senior Pensions Actuarial Analyst

Our continuing growth and success means we are looking to expand the actuarial calculations team. The role will involve working closely with all of the other seven offices. The role can be based in either Cheltenham or Bristol. Bristol candidates will be required to undertake their first few months working from the Cheltenham office to enable them to meet the team and learn the business systems and processes.


We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious people with prior experience of undertaking detailed actuarial calculations for final salary pension schemes. The firm’s actuarial calculations team is looking for an individual to join this team due to our continuing successful new business wins in this area. On a day to day basis, the team undertakes calculations on behalf of IFAs, insurers, prospects and existing pension scheme clients using our in-house software.

As a more senior member of the team, the post holder will work closely with junior team members to manage the whole projects - checking the junior members’ work to ensure calculations are run correctly and in a timely manner, raising queries with the client, and managing their expectations.


Qualifications and experience required:

The right individuals will have an aptitude and interest in technical skills and working with/developing detailed and well-structured spreadsheets as well as an eye for detail.

Previous experience in a similar pensions technical/calculations role is essential.
