Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant - Folkestone

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a specialist school environment?

A well-established SEN school in Folkestone is seeking a dedicated and confident SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with pupils who require consistent, patient and highly individualised support.

You will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, develop communication and life skills, and feel safe and supported throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilites: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

  • Assisting with personalised and multi-sensory learning activities

  • Supporting communication, emotional regulation and independence

  • Working closely with Teachers, Therapists and the SEN team

  • Helping maintain a calm, structured and nurturing environment

What we're looking for: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN

  • Has exposure to ASD, MLD and/or PMLD (school, care or support settings)

  • Is patient, resilient and genuinely passionate about SEN

  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

  • Is reliable, proactive and confident working as part of a team

** £90 - £100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only

** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
