We are a family run Bar & Restaurant in the heart of Rotherhithe, South London, looking for an experienced head chef to start immediately.
Having taken over this business 5 years ago, we have worked hard to gain a high reputation of food & service to customers who are local & visitors from the hotel next door.
We are looking for an experienced head chef who is passionate, creative & able to help us maintain our high standards. We currently serve food 7 days a week, cater for functions in our private room upstairs & work with Deliveroo as a delivery service so customers can enjoy our dishes from the comfort of their own homes.
Job responsibilites & duties would include;
-Keeping up to date with paperwork in the kitchen (i.e delivery records/receipts)
-Kitchen staff management (i.e rotas/hiring/training)
-Kitchen cleanliness maintenance (i.e cleaning schedule)
-New menu additions (i.e for the special board which is consistantly changed)
-Menu creation for special events (i.e Valentines Day/Mothers Day etc)
-Stock control (cost effective stock control & management)
-Compliance of sanitation regulations & safety standards
Job requirements include;
-Proven experience as a Head Chef
-Proven ability of exceptional kitchen management
-Ability in dividing responsibilities & monitoring progress
-Outstanding communication & leadership skills
-Credentials in Health & Safety training
As we serve food 7 days a week our kitchen is open;
Monday - Friday 12:00-16:00/17:00-22:00
Shifts are currently run afternoon, evening or doubles, which will be organised & shared out between all staff members.
All applications will be looked at and reviewed with the manager & owner. All successful applicants will be contacted for a meeting which will involve a discussion about you & your experience, what we would be expecting of you & what you feel you could bring to our team. You will also have a chance to see the kitchen, meet other staff members & get a feeling for the establishment.
