This is a highly important role in a growing team dealing with higher value and complex claims. The role requires a solid and mature approach and involves working closely with other handlers, the PMC Leader and other team members including the Pricing Team and Field Managers. There is a focus on leading the customers through the potentially long claim process which is highly technical and includes, making the iTriage call, creating the claim plan, interpreting reports and managing the repair phase of the claim through to completion. Managing the reserve accuracy and issuing to clients is one of many critical parts of the process that the role will manage. An essential feature of this role is working with the Field based Project Managers who provide valuable technical support to the Team.
Knowledge and experience of the principals involved in the management of high value insurance claims covering all perils is an advantage, as is subsidence experience. Knowledge and experience of the principals involved in the construction, repair and maintenance of domestic and small commercial buildings will also be an advantage. Able to demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. A proven track record in an insurance claims position dealing with higher value (over £10k) claims. Experience in a customer facing role in a professional environment managing high value building repairs. A formal insurance qualification is required and a professional qualification would be an advantage.
