GreycoatLumleys are looking for an exceptional Head chef to join the world’s smallest cruise. You will be heading an elite team to provide excellent food for discerning guests.
You will be responsible for preparing and serving meals for 50 guests and 38 staff whilst the ship sails around the British Isles and Western Europe. You will have access to the very best local ingredients to create dishes worthy of a two rosette kitchen.
You will be employed year round and be expected to work from March to mid-November. The standard pattern of work will be 5 weeks on followed by 2 weeks off although as this is a senior position, flexibility will be essential.
While you are on board accommodation and all meals will be provided. You will receive compulsory training at the beginning of your employment to allow to work on board the ship.
- Lead the kitchen throughout all services
- Produce consistently excellent food
- Management of stock and cost control
- Liaising with the restaurant manager to provide frequent menu changes
- Management of chefs to ensure that standards of quality and hygiene are maintained.
A background high quality hotels or restaurants is essential in order to maintain the exceptional standards of dining.
