Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Brentwood, Essex

Salary: £26,000 - £28,500 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Reed is currently working with a dynamic and growing practice based in Brentwood, they are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
