Exception Handler Manager
Experienced Manager capable of managing a team of up to 10 based in Sandy, Bedfordshire. £15 per hour.
Your new company
A large construction company based near Sandy is looking for a Manager with in their finance team. The fast paced growth and business changes has created an opening for someone to manage a team of 10 direct reports.
Your new role
Your new role will see you manage a team of approximately 10 Exception Handlers. You will be responsible for managing the team and supervising on a daily basis. You will also be responsible for the coordination and prioritisation of key supplier accounts, follow ups and reviews. You will escalate points for sites and central support functions for critical accounts. The will be responsible for resolving queries with invoices and order holds on an end to end basis however you will be responsible for assisting with more complex queries and ensuring corrective action is in line with the current processes and policies. You will act as a point of reference for training and education queries while running refresher courses for the team. Further to this you will be in charge of promoting disciplines in goods receiving and accurate recording of deliveries by sites. Finally, you will need to identify common and reoccurring issues and escalate this to senior management
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will need to have excellent management experience and a proven record of leading a team through change. A knowledge of construction materials would be advantageous but not essential. Previous experience of working within a large, complex organisation is also crucial. You will need to have similar previous accounting position or commercial position and a strong understanding of the fundamental accounting principles.
