This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Support Analyst to work with the worlds largest animal health organisation supporting a number of development projects throughout 2018 and beyond. These projects will include the rollout of global systems implementations, local development projects associated with system, processes and excel based tools.

The Business Support Analyst (BSA) is responsible for taking ownership of many day-to-day operational tasks, many involving complex Excel spreadsheets, to provide back-fill for colleagues engaged in project-related activities as well as taking interim ownership for a number of important processes and system tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Reporting

  • Perform regular and routine reporting and processing tasks, primarily using complex Excel spreadsheets (including VBA Macros)
  • Understand context of processes and tasks
  • Proactively perform all activities within agreed timelines
  • High attention to detail and quality of analytical activities
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests with speed, accuracy and appropriate information

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the creation of new capabilities, processes and spreadsheet tools
  • Contribute to wider project work where appropriate
  • Excellent and experienced user of Microsoft Excel, including VBA Macro development
  • Analytically minded with strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Can translate complex information into easy to understand concepts
  • Good communication skills; written and verbal
  • Works effectively under time pressures, demonstrating strong time management, prioritisation and organisational abilities

Key Skills and experience:

  • Excellent and experienced user of Microsoft Excel, including VBA Macro development
  • Analytically minded with strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Can translate complex information into easy to understand concepts
  • Good communication skills; written and verbal
  • Works effectively under time pressures, demonstrating strong time management, prioritisation and organisational abilities

Training and qualifications

  • Advanced use of MS Excel including pivot tables, VBA coding and array formulae. Experience of MS Access and integrated data solutions preferred
  • IT literate. Able to use standard business software, communication tools and data management systems
  • Bachelor's Degree qualification preferred, preferably in relevant field; systems analytics, data management, statistics, science or mathematics
  • Current passport and valid driving licence

Experience

  • Experience in using and developing business reports
  • Experience using and preferably designing databases
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel to analyse and present data
  • Experience working in highly regulated corporate environment
  • Experience in animal health, human health, pharmaceuticals or life sciences is desirable
