This exciting Events, PR & Communications Executive role is a crucial part of the marketing team for this highly reputable, growing and innovative software company. They seek a candidate who enjoys organising and running events, speaking with external parties such as newspaper, radio, TV or award bodies to increase the brand reputation of the business. All ultimately to increase the lead generation and sales growth of the business.

Consequently, the successful candidate will initiate and evolve innovative and engaging mixed-media (offline/web/audio/video) communications to increase acquisition, engagement and retention of customers.

The successful candidate will manage the public relations process and strategy (including arranging or responding to radio and video media requests) to increase brand engagement.

The opportunity also exists in this role to work with internal stakeholders to leverage scenario-based thought leadership commentary/blogs/vlogs to accelerate the brand development and product awareness.

Attending industry events and exhibitions to act as a brand ambassador to help engage with current and future customers.

This is an exciting role for a Communications Executive who really likes to get involved and see the results of their hard work in sales growth.

Typical responsibilities:

As you have probably gathered by now, you will need to be motivated by a customer facing and varied role which has an impact across the business in creating and transactional means. As a result, a candidate will need to demonstrate the following in the application process:

  • Experience in a similar PR and Communications role would be preferred, with evidence of media leverage with journalists and/or industry influencers
  • Engaging content writing for email campaign strategy with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience of awards writing beneficial, with previous examples of winning entries
  • Knowledge of SEO for web content optimisation
  • Strong background in social media and previous experience with Wordpress
  • Ideally educated to degree level with preferred studies in English, Marketing or Business
  • Further qualification with the CIM would be beneficial
  • A passion for technology
  • Innovative, ready to continuously develop new marketing ideas and concepts, and then implement using own initiative to engage appropriate stakeholders
  • Previous experience with website content management systems
