Events Manager

Posted 9 April by Retail Trust Easy Apply Ended

At retailTRUST, we support and seek to improve the lives of over 4.5 million people working in the retail industry. Providing a safety net through financial assistance, aiding mental wellbeing, offering training programmes to help people develop their careers in retail and providing independent living at one of our supported living residential estates.

We are looking for an Events Manager, who will be responsible for all of our events-related activity, to join our Fundraising team in Salford. We run a number of fundraising events throughout the year, which include special fundraising events, third party events, challenge events and events aimed at cultivating major donors.

You will work closely with your colleagues and our external Event organisations to maximise our income through sales and sponsorship. You will deliver high impact events to an exceptional standard through project managing all aspects of delivery including sourcing venues, obtaining auction items, undertaking risk assessments and complying with health and safety regulations whilst ensuring that events are planned on time, in budget and in line with the overall strategic direction.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a senior Events Fundraising role (or looking for their next step up) and has the passion and drive to increase our income so we can continue to support those in retail. You’ll need good sound knowledge of the market, be innovative, and ready to take initiative to bring your ideas to fruition.

You must be able to manage and prioritise multiple projects and meet agreed timescales. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to demonstrate strong working relationships. Due to the nature of the role, we will need an element of flexibility from you in your working hours to attend evening or weekend functions when required.

We’ll pay up to £45,000 per annum and other benefits include 27 days holiday plus bank holidays (and we let you have your birthday off!), pension scheme of up to 9% employer contributions, life assurance of four times your salary and a Health Cash Plan.
