Events are central to Cloudfm’s communications strategy, and we need an experienced and creative manager to ensure that our clients, staff and other key stakeholders have fantastic experiences. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a number of high profile events, including conferences, awards, seminars, overseas trips, and sporting and social events.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop event briefs and attend all planning meetings for events
  • Source venues and negotiate venue contracts
  • Full responsibility for event logistics, including guest list management, invitations, food, accommodation, travel, AV, entertainment, photography and video
  • Attend and oversee the smooth running of all events, including some in Europe
  • Work with Essex Cricket Club to maximise the event opportunities associated with our sponsorship of the Cloudfm County Ground (in Chelmsford)
  • Budget management
  • Supplier contract management
  • Source and liaise with suppliers
  • Liaise with and manage all event stakeholders - internal and external
  • Post evaluation and de-brief

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong business events experience including b2b conferences
  • Experience of managing large events with an audience exceeding 400 and individual event budgets of £80,000 and above
  • Previous experience of working in facilities management or a related field is desirable
