***EVENTS COORDINATOR***

We're on the lookout for a highly organised and proactive Events Coordinator to work on a permanent part-time basis - 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs, 28 hours).

This is the perfect role for someone who is confident juggling both event planning and administrative support.

Salary £26,835 - £28,163 pro rata (DOE) + excellent pension contributions and on-site parking

In this unique role, you'll work closely with the Town Mayor and their team supporting day-to-day administration while taking the lead on ceremonial and civic events from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities for the Events Coordinator include

  • Coordinate all ceremonial events and civic functions, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day
  • Provide administrative support to the Town Mayor and office team including diary management, invites, and updating records
  • Act as the first point of contact for all general enquiries
  • Liaise with venues, suppliers, and community partners to deliver well-organised, fun community events
  • Support on-site event management with a hands-on approach
  • Carry out other duties relevant to the post as needed

The ideal Events Coordinator will need,

  • Proven experience in both event planning/coordination and administration essential
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident with IT systems and reporting tools
  • Flexible, can-do attitude with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of local council operations or similar environments is helpful, but not essential
