An exciting 12 month fixed term contract opportunity has arisen for an Events Assistant to join an independent law firm with an international footprint. The successful applicant will support the Events Executive in the organisation of up to 120 high profile events each year.
The firm runs a wide range of events including small dinners, subject led roundtables, panel events and large scale parties. All aspects of event delivery are organised in-house allowing the team to work on everything from the creative concept to the delivery on the day. You will assist on all aspects of pre-event production, including securing dates, recording responses, negotiating with suppliers, both internally and externally, and collating information for packs and presentations. On events days, the Events Assistant will have a hands on role from room set up, name badges and guest list preparation, trainees briefing, to guests management and event clear down. Post-event follow up including recording attendees, budget update and feedback will represent an important element of the role. The role holder will also maintain the Events area on the internal intranet and external website, ensure stock maintenance of supplies and source and negotiate with new suppliers on a regular basis.
The ideal candidate will be a bright graduate with previous professional services experience in a similar role. Confident, organised and positive with a can-do attitude, the Events Assistant will possess excellent communication skills and high attention to detail and will both enjoy and thrive under a busy and varied workload. Experience of the CRM system InterAction would be useful but is not essential.
