My client is looking for an entrepreneurial, highly organised and driven Event Sales Executive to join this amazing & Iconic London Events Venue. Ideal candidates will have experience of working within a venue or large hotel offering events space. You will be responsible for meeting a reactive sales target by responding to all incoming enquiries & converting into confirmed bookings.  

Venue Events Sales Executive – Reactive Sales 
Key Responsibilities:

- Employ sales skills to convert enquiries into confirmed business 
- Use sales techniques and closing sales skills on the phone and face to face at meetings and site visits to gain the clients confirmation of services
- Increase the level of sales and business mix direct from individual clients and via third party bookers/agencies
- Maintain regular contact with past clients and enquiries employing sales skills to gain more enquiries and confirmations from these clients
- Identify, call and book appointments with new potential businesses sources
- To follow up all enquiries, preparing proposals where necessary and facilitating showrounds with potential clients to show them the venue
- To carry out telephone negotiations and host site meetings to include comprehensive and professional tours of the facilities with prospective clients at all levels
- To build a strong client relationship, understanding and interpreting the aim of the event and therefore provide all the options available to realise the goal
- Prepare and send out client contracts and quotations.  Arrange appropriate client set-up in system – (e.g. client organisation financial details, VAT status and credit facilities)
- Attendance at networking events, trade exhibitions  and familiarisation trips where appropriate for face-to-face selling
- To actively obtain post event client feedback, ensuring that it is recorded and effectively communicated to all relevant parties 
- Accurate data entry and recording of booking information including records of all customer contact in order to maximise potential business and ensure effective communication to other department
- Maintenance of accurate and effective sales tracking information
- To utilise opportunities that develop product knowledge, sales, marketing and customer service skills

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience :  

- Must have previous reactive sales experience, ideally in a Events venue or 4/5 star hotel  environment, of sufficient quality to demonstrate proven success in this areas
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to negotiate in a professional manner, maintaining the interests of the business at all times
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English and numeracy
- High level of attention to detail
- Be computer literate, (e.g. MS Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience of a computerised diary/booking system would be beneficial
- Experience of and ability to present effectively to clients
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent telephone manner
- Experience of, and ability to show initiative in, a pressured environment
- Be flexible and able to work longer hours at business critical times
