Hours: Full time - permanent contract
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
Over 200,000 people visit The Tank Museum every year where we bring the history of tanks and tank crew to life. This is an exciting opportunity to work for The Tank Museum, Dorset's leading indoor tourist attraction. The Events Manager plays a key role in the management and delivery of both public and corporate events.
We are looking for an Events Manager who will drive both visitor events and corporate business to maximise utilisation and profit by delivering a great customer experience. You will be responsible for developing and producing events such as Tankfest, Tiger Day, Model Shows, Commemoration events and Vintage Christmas. You will need to lead and inspire the events team in operational and administrative functions to ensure events are delivered efficiently. You will work closely with other teams including retail, catering and collections as well as external contractors.
The Tank Museum is looking for a candidate who has creative flair and entrepreneurial thinking with the capacity to embrace new ideas and innovations. You will need strong leadership, organisational and communication skills as well as the ability to successfully manage a team.
