Experience: Previous sponsorship experience is preferred, however we are willing to consider someone with a sales background who has a drive to move into a different area.

Summary of what we’re looking for: The post holder will be expected to take responsibility and ownership of all things sponsorship within the Education Department. The department as a whole runs nearly 400 meetings a year and this year’s budgeted sponsorship targets being in the region of £525k (excludes donations of ca. £110k). Their main focus will be on Section sponsorship, accounting for nearly £400k of sponsorship. The ESO will be expected to perform all duties relating to sponsorship including (but not limited to); writing out to potential sponsors, logistic management, sponsor invoicing, contract management, on the day management, post event follow up.
We would also expect the person to have a wider knowledge of the industry and it would be beneficial if this was within the medical sector. They would need to be fully conversed in compliance, have understanding of the competition and potentially drive change in sponsorship. There is a wider requirement for cross department collaboration and we are keen that the ESO works across the organisation to explore new opportunities with our corporate members/contacts
