EU IT Manager - German Speaking - York - RC25
Salary / benefits: DOE, up to £30k

A leading supplier of technical products, is currently seeking a German speaking IT Manager to join their existing team, managing the core computer and phone systems within EU offices.
The successful candidate will be based in the organisation’s York office. Here they will coordinate with other IS and IT areas globally to develop a corporate unified IT structure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of core server systems. These include MS Server, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Exchange + Archiving, Instant messaging (currently Skype for Business), SAP, Anti-Virus, Windows Updates, RADIUS, Veeam Backup and future systems and roles as required.
You will also be responsible for the administration of the inter-office phone systems as well as overseeing the internal and external security of the company’s network.
The installation of hardware and software when needed for both client and servers will also be a key responsibility.
The successful applicant will also be required to travel to the company’s German offices every quarter to resolve and correct IT issues. Therefore, German fluency is essential.
Candidates would preferably be educated to a degree level in a relevant subject.
The successful candidate must be fluent in German, in both verbal and written communication, in addition to English.
Applicants should have at least 5 years experience in a related field; networking, hardware or software.
The ability to apply problem-solving skills to complex issues as well as good teaching, team working and communication skills are necessary for this role.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work within the UK and hold all relevant paperwork. Copies of Visas and Passports will be requested.
