EU Communications Coordinator French/English

This is to work and be the ambassador of a World Leader in the Luxury Sports Car industry. The company is looking for a EU Communications Coordinator to come and work with their European Communications team.

Location for the position is flexible ( London, Paris...) so long you can commit to regular meetings in their head office.


You will report to the Head of European Communications.


The position requires an excellent command (written and spoken) of English and French.

About the position

PRESS FLEET

  • Create specs sheets of all EU press cars in correct currencies for the following markets: France, Italy, Spain, Sweden
  • Follow-up of logistics: communication to the different audience, who, when, which car
  • Updating and follow-up on internal sales system
  • Liaise with local PR contacts to gather the planning of tests as well as local activities on a weekly basis

Outside DACH:

  • Liaise with both media and internal for insurance purposes

PRESS MATERIAL & SOCIAL MEDIA ACTIVATION

  • Get EU releases approved by Central in English and then follow up the translation process
  • Gather all translated material and get it uploaded on media website
  • Heads-up to be send to Social Media Manager and define what is requested to cover the social media news
  • Follow up on European assets to be developed
  • Develop a network of non-traditional media contacts such as bloggers, influencers and word-of-mouth advocates that support Sales and Marketing goals - IT monitoring
  • Ensure that the regional media contact data base is kept up to date and releases sent from the data base on time
  • Develop and create media list by category for non-automotive media
  • Ideally proofread the French translation

INTERNAL COMMS

Retailers:

  • Newsletter to retailers, frequency linked to coverage
  • Heads-up on press material available or release sent out
  • Behind the scenes stories
  • Put reports together with DACH Comms Consultant

Local PR Managers:

  • Heads-up on releases
  • Gathering all translated versions for upload on the media website

EVENTS COORDINATION

Global Test Drive:

  • Follow-up on media flight booking process
  • Define best itinerary with media and events team
  • Adapt personalised itinerary and media confirmation
  • Follow-up on reimbursement form and costs for freelancers/media

Head office visits:

  • Check the agenda when visits are possible, and highlight potential issues
  • Liaise with Guest Relations and media or local PR manager to get it organised

EU RETAILER NETWORK

  • Support the EU Retailer Network with media management and exposure, taking their story ideas and activate.
  • Build a network of, and relationship with EU retailers
  • To have the skill set to be able to create and action regional social media activity.
  • To work closely with the global PR team to push local EU news on the different channels as well as organising media visits or activities in their head office

About you

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Experience in core PR skills, including presenting, internal reporting
  • Experience of networking within Marketing disciplines and working within dynamic and change-oriented teams
  • Experience of working with a luxury brand or a general understanding of the luxury world
  • Experience in working in the Automotive industry would be highly desirable
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Fluent written and spoken French to check/proofread translations
