ETL Engineer

Posted 1 March by RattrayParkin Easy Apply Ended

RP Analytics are currently supporting a exciting global business to find their next ETL Engineer in their Coventry office. This is a really exciting role for someone who is looking to join a organisation who is pioneering new technology within its sector.

Your role will be to discover data sources, get access to them, import them, clean them up, and make them "model-ready". You need to be willing and able to do your own ETL ideally in an AWS environment.

Create and refine features from the underlying data. You’ll enjoy developing just enough subject matter expertise to have an intuition about what features might make your model perform better, and then you’ll lather, rinse and repeat.

Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for business intelligence and analytics.

Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.

Partner with business and technical teams to develop impactful solutions, including in support of state of the art machine learning models, canned reports and data visualisations.

Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering).

2+ years of maintaining data warehouse systems and working on large scale data transformations using Hadoop, Hive, or other Big Data technologies.

Experience with ETL development, Data Modelling, and working with large datasets.

Expert-level proficiency in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries with Oracle and Postgres across large datasets.

Ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
