ETL Developer

A worldwide leader in financial services are looking to hire a ETL developer into their Data Services and Data Warehouse team where you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the current Big data.

Role Responsibility

As an ETL developer, you will be collaborating with other Data Services teams and other business as well as IT teams. As a Big data developer with ETL skills, you should be able to ingest and process data on Hadoop as well as provide data feeds where required. This role requires a lot of responsibility, you will be the go-to person within the team for Python development, Spark, Hadoop ecosystem, Cloudera specific tools like Cloudera Navigator and Cloudera Manager, T-SQL and SSIS.

Key Requirements

As an ETL developer, you will be working across big data, so you will need to have experience in Python and SPARK development. Working on Hadoop environments with various suite of services and Experience working with various formats, such as XML. Importantly you must have Good

knowledge of testing in a Big data environment.

You will also need to have good knowledge of databases, such as:

  • Working on Big Data projects handling development, deployment and security.
  • Report and Dashboard Development using Big Data tools and SQL Server stack.
  • Developing ETL processes

Whilst it is great if you are coming from a financial services/insurance background and have an exposure to areas such as Equities, futures and options, it is non-essential and applications are welcomed from people outside of finance.
