ETL Developer Talend

A client of mine in South West London are in the market for an ETL developer with experience of talend for an initial 3 months+.

The rate is negotiable at the moment.

Main Responsibilities
- Works with Head of BI and Technical Lead to understand solution vision and create
data integration design
- Designs, develops, automates, and supports complex applications to extract,
transform, and load data from multiple sources into accessible and performant
structures that support analytic needs
- Oversees basic and advanced transformation activities such as normalisation,
cleansing, aggregation, summarisation, and integration
- Defines and implements data quality logic associated with data processing flows
- Plans and conducts ETL unit and development tests; monitors results and takes
corrective action
- Ensures source system data availability and update accessibility, data integrity,
restart ability, and error handling
- Identifies and manages interfaces, service levels, standards, and configurations
- Interacts directly with client stakeholders who are in business and/or technical roles
(as needed)
- Adheres to data security requirements at all stages of data processing
- Follows industry standards and best practices

Minimum requirements
- Must have at least 3-5 years'experience with design, development, automation, and
support of applications to extract, transform, and load data
- Must have written ETL within a BI environment
- Proficient in SQL and SQL scripts
- Familiarity with Big Data Solutions (e.g. Data Lake / BigQuery)
- Experience developing analytics solutions hosted in the Cloud is preferred (e.g.
Google Cloud Platform, AWS)
- Bachelor' Degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to work in an agile environment
- Experience of Talend
