Your new company
This contractor are a leading fencing and hoarding business in the South East and Home Counties, they currently turnover just over £2 million, with projects values ranging from £10k - £500k. They are the fencing contractor of choice for main contractors and developers in market, led by entrepreneurial directors and owners.
They are looking for an estimator, to help strengthen their offering allowing for more productive use time for the directors. You will be based in their North Kent office.
Your new role
The role of the Estimator will be to; support the generation of profitable tenders for authorisation and submission in order to maximise order pipeline, estimate the costs of projects in order to meet or exceed customers' requirements, support the fulfilment of the pipeline of contracts safely on time, and to the required quality, ensure the estimating function provides a full commercial contribution to the organisation, support the process of assessing, preparing (including post-tender activities), validating, adjudication and final submission of tenders on time, support the project teams to deliver contracts safely, on time, and to the required quality while minimising costs.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have proven experience within an Estimating role, taking projects from initial enquiry, first principles through to handover, working on projects with contract values of up to but not limited to £2 million. The ideal candidate would have experience of working within a fencing or hoarding contractor, failing that a ground works contractor.
What you'll get in return
In return as the Estimator, you can expect a salary of up to £40k plus benefits which include: - 28 days holiday per year including bank holidays, travel expenses and a pension scheme.
