Estates Officer Northumberland 9 month fixed term contract

Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and respected authority, to assist in the management of its Estate, that comprises of land and property. As an Estates Officer, you will be working within a small team, to assist in the management of the project work, facilities management and statutory compliance. This organisation is seeking a hard-working, reliable and confident individual to join a small, but busy team on for period of 9 months.
Your new role
In your role as an Estates Officer, you will be responsible for the key duties and responsibilities:
- Identification of building failures / defects and their remedies.
- Managing tenant issues
- Generating invoices
- Coordination of contractors on site and managing the works that are being carried out.
- Ensuring health and safety checks are done and logged
- Carrying out condition surveys
- Preparing specifications for repairs / maintenance works on site.
What you'll need to succeed
The candidate we are looking for will be able to demonstrate experience in the above stated key areas.
You will also hold a qualification to at least OND level (or equivalent) in a property related discipline, as well as having a good understanding of risk management, contracting services (inclusive of production, tendering and monitoring of contracts) as well has having excellent communication skills.
