ESG Specialist £50000- £60000 Hemel Hempstead Hertfordshire ~This could be full or part time

Job Description:

1. Supporting both Investor Relations and ESG functions, this is a highly visible position under Brand Strategy Office that is the first point of contact with its investment community.
2. Overseeing the communication between existing and potential shareholders in addition to broader market participants including analysts, client advisors, corporate communication advisors and media.
3. Develop materials for external communication such as annual reports, sustainability reports, and media releases in addition to conducting in depth sector research and contributing to Investor Relations and ESG strategy.
4. ESG Reporting:

- Develop and manage a comprehensive program on sustainability and the environment

- Develop the process of external certification, accreditation and reporting on sustainability

Required skills & experience

1. 5+ years of experience in corporate ESG, with direct experience developing and implementing CSR/ESG reporting programs is required
2. Prior exposure to Investor Relations will be looked upon favourably
3. Familiarity with ESG reporting standards and frameworks
4. Skills and experience in sustainability goal development, KPI tracking, data analytics and reporting tools
5. Demonstrate commercial confidence coupled with the ability to interact with a wide range of financial and non-financial stakeholders with ease.
6. Experience delivering projects aligned with large scale corporate goals through influence and collaboration
7. Exceptional verbal and written communication and program management skills
8. High level of attention to detail.
9. Capacity to work independently and simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under deadline pressure
10. Team-oriented, with provide ability to form strong working relationships and work cross-functionally to drive results
11. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain a network of relationships which facilitate deal flow
12. Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced, highly demanding and fluid and uncertain environment

Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as MBA, JD or is preferred

2. Working knowledge of ESG ratings and rankings is preferred
