ER Regional Advisor

Employee Relations Advisor - Sheffield and North East.

35k plus car

My client is a well known international Facilities Management company and they need experienced Employee Relations support - you will need to have high volume experience and Unions.

  • Act as the main point of contact for line managers and HR teams across the region, to provide specialist ER case management advisory and support services in complex, high risk or high profile cases, or where a case requires direct intervention
  • Identify cases that require support and follow through to resolution, tracking advice given at all times in the ER Case Management system
  • Coach line managers in the management of employee relations cases helping to develop their expertise in managing disciplinary, fair treatment, capability and performance related issues
  • Work with the L&D team to provide input to pro-active learning interventions that improve knowledge and skills for line managers in handling such issues
  • Where appropriate lead on appeal hearings, settlement discussions or provide mediation services to drive case resolution
  • Support the Employment Law team with claims as required
  • Hold high standards of case confidentiality and ensure this is reflected across the team
  • Where cases are concluded, support line managers with the processing of colleague changes to conclusion
  • Escalate any advisory case that requires review, additional insights or approval of non-standard application of policy or procedure to the Lead Case Manager as necessary
  • Provide advisory services to the relevant HR Change teams in your geography to ensure that where business change impacts colleagues, advice is available to minimise risk
  • Credible expertise in all aspects of HR specifically employee relations, employment law, occupational health, immigration and rights to work

  • Expert understanding and grasp of how to operate within an environment of multiple HR policies and procedures
  • Proven stakeholder management skills and relationship building
