As Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, your work will be pivotal to the success of the Hive EPR programme. Joining us, you’ll immediately benefit from training on the Cogito suite of reporting tools and Healthy Planet Analytics. The insight you provide on their implementation will support our overall analytics strategy.
You’ll also become an Epic data model expert, applying your build and design expertise to analyse current business practices, enable full documentation and deliver quality reporting solutions. Working with a variety of stakeholders to understand extremely complex reporting needs across multiple existing systems, you’ll ensure that the whole reporting system is configured in line with best practice ways of working and supports the full patient pathway. You’ll also be involved in leading workstream planning processes, including the design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions to help improve workflows.
Required skills and experience
We’re looking for a strong working knowledge of reporting solutions and the reporting development cycle, along with competence in using healthcare IT systems. You’ll also need a sound understanding of NHS statutory and contractual deliverables and related issues, with the ability to obtain and present data to address these. It’s essential that you have an in-depth knowledge of NHS reporting requirements, data standards and definitions.
You’ll bring experience of data requirements gathering and report specification documentation, along with a structured, diagnostic approach to finding solutions to complex data issues. On a personal level, you’re a self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a matrix environment. With a ‘can-do’ attitude, you embrace change and can prioritise tasks effectively in response to conflicting priorities and tight timescales.
