The purpose of this newly created opportunity will be to train & audit Weighbridge Operators to operate the weighbridge systems in accordance with the Duty of Care regulations, Hazardous Waste Regulations, HMRC requirements, Waste Management Permit and Group policies & procedures. You will be tasked with identifying skill gaps with personnel performing waste acceptance procedures, including waste sampling where applicable.
You will report to the site management any breach of rules, act of dishonesty, malpractice or corruption by any member of the public, visitor to the site, or member of staff, whilst making use of the learning management system to track training and development activity.
Required skill set;
*Experience of waste acceptance procedure
*Experience of auditing within the Waste Management industry
*Ability to learn and implement new concepts and ideas
*Ideally PTLLS qualified
*Ideally have audit experience
*Support and motivate others
*Open and clear communicator
*Empathetic to others' views and needs
*Ability to work collaboratively at site level with operational, environmental and managerial staff
*Proven success of influencing others at site operational level both internally and externally
*Awareness of own safety and how ones actions impact of the safety of others
* Conscientious in the implementation of Health and Safety procedures, policy, and other requirements
*Ability to re-evaluate priorities, responding quickly and positively to change is imperative
*To stay away from home on a regular occasion; Monday - Friday
* Hold a driving License
