Our Essex based local authority client are looking for an Environmental Health Officer/Food Safety Officer to work in the Commercial Team. the successful candidate will inspect food premises for food hygiene and standards and carryout enforcement when required.
With a degree or Diploma in Environmental Health and EHORB or equivalent you should be able to demonstrate a broad technical background across Food Safety and Health and Safety.
It is also critical that you have excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and have a proven ability to explain negotiate and influence.
Candidates must be familiar with the FHRS and must be flexible and be prepared to take on some complaint/enforcement work if required. To apply for this role you will need to have a degree in Environmental health or a related subject in relation to food safety/hygiene . You will need to be food competent as defined by the FSA Code of Practice with the experience to be able to inspect food business's.
This is a permenant role.
