Temporary Buyers Assistant
Your new company
Our client has recently created two new roles to better support the business with ad hoc buying requirements. These roles will be temporary until at least the end of May.
Your new role
Working with the Buyers you will be visiting a number of departments once or twice each day and finding out what needs ordering which is not covered by the inventory management system or the materials management team. The product requirements will be very varied and some requirements will be very last minute and urgent so you will need to be responsive as the departments will no longer be able to order anything for themselves.
You will then need to raise requisitions on the SBS Oracle system ready for the buyers to create into POs and send out. When not doing this you will be helping the buyers create POs from approved requisitions and also look at resolving invoice queries.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have had some exposure to buying / procurement teams,
Strong administrative experience
Confident manner, able to challenge and build relationships quickly
Experience of raising PO's advantageous
