Enterprise Risk Governance Manager in Aldermore's Risk department play a key role in ensuring we balance our growth with robust risk management and controls, supported by effective governance, policies and procedures. Whether working in Compliance; Operational Risk; Enterprise Risk; Credit Risk; Financial Crime; Retail or Business Finance Risk, everyone helps to implement and embed a risk management ethos and culture that ensures our customers are treated fairly whilst supporting our business model and strategic priorities. You will have ownership of the Enterprise Risk plan and operating rhythm, undertaking semi-annual production and periodic review and prioritisation assessments, and challenge of individual plans.
Running of and preparation of team meetings, ensuring the Head of ER's certification responsibilities are able to be evidenced. You will manage tracking of Enterprise Risk actions and deliverables required as a result of regulatory or committee engagement (on occasion this may extend outside of ER) and manage the Enterprise Risk Regulatory Action Tracker and ensure a rigorous audit trail of closure is retained. The ideal candidate will act as Risk Champion for Enterprise Risk ensuring management and testing of controls are undertaken and challenged as required.
You will be manage the policy breach process to escalate areas of non-compliance and support annual review of the overarching Risk Management Framework ensuring pragmatism accompanies best practice and alignment with the bank and Risk's overarching strategies and objectives. You will also be supporting the broader team and Chief Risk Officer across all deliverables and actions as required.
Risk Management and Policy Frameworks
You will be maintaining the Group Policy Framework including periodic review and reporting of same through senior committees, ensuring these remain operational in line with the Bank's appetite. You should be use to maintaining a Risk Policy inventory ensuring it provides an accurate and up to date record of all risk policies within the Bank on an ongoing basis. You will be overseeing and provide insight into adherence against the Policy Governance Framework on an ongoing basis, including requirements within each of the supporting policies and processes, ensuring robust application across the business and providing reporting on exceptions.
Manage the Model Governance process including performing secretariat duties ensuring effective management of regular meetings (e.g. minutes, agenda, actions). You will maintain and own the cross-bank model inventory on behalf of the Model Management Committee, ensuring periodic review and reporting of same through governance. You will support enhancement and ongoing management of the Model Inventory and Model Governance Framework and support review of model-specific frameworks, policies, standards and management information.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and bright individual with a proven ability in driving transformational data related activities. The ideal candidate will be data literate, ability to perform data analyses data using simple tools such as Excel, and understand different database design models. We are looking for someone that can collaborate and influence across the organisation.
Any qualifications in Risk and finance would be desirable. Experience within the Financial Services industries would be desirable particularly in the banking sector.
