You should be passionate about delivering inspiring English lessons to students of Secondary age of all abilities. Ideally you will be flexible enough to deliver cover work or your own lessons to ensure the scheme of work is followed, and progress is made.
Schools across the region rely heavily on support from temporary teachers to cover illness and planned absence. In this role you will provide an important support ensuring the smooth progress of this core subject. Short term temporary positions often lead to regular work in the same school, or longer term or contracted positions. Over 80% of the contract and permanent roles we help teachers to find have started out as short term temporary cover positions.
Our Teachers have this to say about working for Reed Education Plymouth:
“I joined Reed Education at the end of the summer term. The team were great and helped me get over my nerves straight away. I’ve really enjoyed working in different schools this term and I’m now being considered for a long term position at one of them. I’m excited about what opportunities might come my way whilst working for Reed Education and would recommend them to anyone looking for work in a school.”
You can earn up to £120 a day for supply and £150 a day for teaching, planning and marking. You get paid weekly and we offer a range of different payment options to suit you.
