A main secondary school client of ours has once again entrusted us to further improve their already wonderuful English department this for this coming term. Each and every role I take from the school comes from the head of department or a senior member of staff. This truly allows me to understand the vacancy and what English teacher would best suit the role.
This position is to start February 2018 (for the right person school will wait until Easter) and will last for a full academic year until July 2018 (The school can easily recognise a good English teacher and can discuss a future permanent position if the English teacher wishes to).
The school's fantastic English department is terrificly vibrant and has a great work ehtic surrounding it. For the last three years English has been the most popular subject for a-Level, English in particular is taken very seriously by students. This gives the right English teacher a wonderful oppurtintiey to teach to true academics and not come to work to 'teach behaviour'. The department itself has 8 members of teaching staff, 4 teaching assistants and has it's own staff room (the school has a huge general staff room too).
Our clients is looking for a English teacher with a fresh can-do attitude to come in and hit the ground running (If an NQT show a willingness to learn and follow the succesful practices in already in place). The main attrubutes the school looks for in an English teacher is; passion and commitment to both the students and school.
To qualify for this role you should have the following below:
*UK Passport or the right to work within the UK.
*A true passion towards teaching English.
*Commitment to their students and work.
*Have a current DBS - Or willing to get one in place.
