Hays Education are currently working with a a large comprehensive 11-16 secondary school in the Loughborough area of Leicestershire. The school are Ofsted rated as 'Good' with many 'Outstanding' features, and were praised for their excellent student attendance and student progression. The students are hard-working and enthusiastic which makes them a pleasure to teach.
Your new role
The school are looking to appoint a Teacher of English to teach across KS3 & KS4 and varied abilities on a full time basis. The role is due to start as soon as possible, preferably before the Easter break, and continue until the May half term with a view to extend until the end of the Summer term.
You will be a fully qualified and experienced Secondary English Teacher with recent experience teaching English across KS3 & KS4. You will have in-depth knowledge of the subject area and be able to demonstrate the ability to teach English to a high standard. You will be an innovative and reflective classroom practitioner, with the ability to enthuse the students to achieve excellent results and a passion for the subject.
You will be expected to plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate inspiring and differentiated lessons, as well as assessing all work completed by students
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified secondary teacher holding PGCE/QTS/QTLS qualification, with experience teaching English across KS3 & KS4. NQTs are also welcome to apply.
You will have an enthusiastic approach to teaching, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment for your students, to inspire them and get the most out of their education.
You will have had recent experience teaching in a secondary school on a long or short term basis and be able to provide us with excellent teaching based references.
