For this post, you must be a consistent English Teacher who has been graded as 'Good' or better by Ofsted in recent observations and worked previously in a top school. The school wants to see teachers who have a strong understanding of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. The ideal English Teacher should be able to help all pupils reach the top of their potential and motivate the children with their love of education. The successful candidate will have the teaching confidence and understanding to keep their lessons fun yet effective.
About the English Teacher role
You will be teaching and working as an integral part of the focused English faculty. The role involves you leading classes in KS3 and KS4, and also small groups of A-Level pupils. Often the first choice for pupils who wish to study further, this English Department continues to uphold its esteemed reputation.
