To be successful in this English LSA role, you will be positive English graduate who has previous experience supporting children and a second-class degree at the very least. The perfect candidate will be able to illustrate their passion for education, and strong desire to become a teacher and inspire and motivate their students.
In this English LSA post you will be supporting teaching within the English department. Your duties will include working in tandem with the class teacher to prepare and deliver lessons that break new educational ground. Your duties will include aiding the development of students through 1:1 and group sessions outside of the classroom environment. This is a school who place huge importance of teaching in an imaginative and engaging way at all times and you will be expected to buy into this approach from day one. This department is a central hub for a lot of the social activities organised for staff of the school. You will have the responsibility of joining the positive Head of English's team and rapidly progressing under the clear leadership and dynamic approach of a leader who is known across the school for their talent for recognising the talents of graduates who are new to teaching. Day-to-day, you will be using the department resources including central resource library to ignite a passion for the subject in your pupils. In this post you will be developing teaching experience in class and through the training offered to you by a mentor Outstanding Teacher.
