Based on the south coast of the UK, the Engineering Technician will be working on assembling electronics for a company developing high-speed, real-time signal processing technology. With applications in communications, defence & security markets, this is an excellent opportunity for experience with a well-known, established UK based company.
The main responsibilities for this role include the test and repair of various devices, systems, and components. A successful candidate will be to be able to select, adapt and assemble mechanical, electrical and electronic components, thereby configuring and commissioning products and systems. An ability to build test harnesses will also be a core component of the role.
Additionally, candidates will need to be able to set up, program, optimise and maintain test equipment, as well as configure and install various programs and software. You will be joining a high-calibre team, who have a passion for technology.
Candidates will need to have a relevant qualification in Electronics /Mechanical Engineering (IPC, NVQ, HNC or HND) or precious relevant experience.
- Previous experience with High Speed Digital systems
- Working knowledge of soldering, to IPC standards
- Previous experience of electronic assembly and testing
- Organisational skills including record keeping, along with great time management are important too.
