Engineering Technician / Engineering Support

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in this support role working alongside this very busy Engineering department. For the role you will need a practical understanding of engineering and be computer literate. You role role will see you:
·Responsible that the company Health, Safety,Enviroment and Hygiene policies are adhered to.
·Responsible for managing & closing out all jobs.
·Responsible for data entry on to Holistech for all parts used & jobs raised & completed.
·Responsible for housekeeping of all workshop areas.
·Responsible for your own engineering handback procedures.
·Ensure all work is carried out to specification and that food safety standards are met.
·Ensure that targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of problems.
·Demonstrate a clear team work ethos with the Engineering department and across other departments.
·Excellent timekeeping, attendance and adherence to company procedures.
·Chooses the most appropriate method and tools for communication.
·Respond promptly and effectively to ensure quick resolution to any issues to minimize any downtime, quality and efficiency problems.
·Participate constructively as a member of the department, keeping everyone informed and pro-actively share your knowledge and expertise within the team.
·Understand and contribute using a range of risk assessment techniques in order to ensure safety of plant, equipment and people.
·Support a culture that enhances behavioural awareness of quality, safety and the environment.
·Demonstrate good behavioural and safety principles in all activities.
·Continually strive to reduce costs whilst ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
·A good aptitude for mechanical or electrical engineering
